Summary: Students will be given a design challenge: make a basketball hoop and a device to catapult a ping pong ball in.

Students are given their materials and design constraints for the challenge. They must construct a catapult and a hoop for their basketball (ping pong ball) to land in. Students will test and redesign their catapults as they learn more about which elements of their design are successful in accomplishing projectile motion.
